Truth or Dare

Ok so a blogging me myself and the voices in my head shall go:)

I've thot of several different things to blog about today...too many it seems as now I have a headache:( lol

Have you ever noticed how many movies are about .com murders and such?  Yet there are so many people that do take risks on online things and people...even causes.  Anyone can put anything online and with a good imagination can make themselves and/or a good cause seem so believable that people feel compelled to believe and get drawn in to scams or to things/people that don't really exist truly, except in now both of the imaginations of the faker and themselves.
It truly is ashame that the largest form of information and possible help in the world has as everything else, become a place where you have to be on your guard, check everything and everyone out with such skepticism and hearing the heartache and horror stories of those who got cheated and played.....

It almost makes ya doubt whether its such a good thing or not:(

  1. I agree its really scary. Matt gave me a facebook page about small government, told me it had some good stuff. I just hope he realizes its just another person sharing his own view points, and not some real official spouting his knowledge of truth. Yep scares me.

  2. Totaly agree. It makes those who want to help say the hell with helping. And the ones that really need help get lost in the masses. The Internet, and sights like FB should be a great place to learn and see what others have done or accomplish. Funny cause my mom says when she goes online it gives her everything but what she is looking for. Probably why she and my dad dont use computers. Makes me think about all of the masses who rely on these devices. Or people so caught up with internet they forgotton that they cant believe and trust everything read. I listen to all these people who think they all are experts. "Where did you learn that?" "the internet." LOL. Just saying alot of good info but we shouldnt have to spend hours checking facts just so we can say "yup!! Thats a fact I got proof." "There are sharks swimming under Lake Michigan." ;-) Believe that and I got some property to sell ya in Hawaii.. Give you a great deal.

  3. Cool I could use a vacation spot...lol and there ya go the level of gullibleness is huge and even those not so gullible will pull bits and pieces from things they find there to back them up. And then you have those who are like how did this or that person know so much about me or say all the right things or like exactly all the things I do....HELLO! Its everything you have on your profile in one place or another. Its like click on the pc click off your brain time! And then you ha e the know it alls and ppl who can tell ya all about technical issues and safeguards to being online but in a moment of thinking with their hmmm neither regions....and even the smartest most knowledgeable can get taken in. There's an angle to evry thing on the net and its even worse than in person because you dont have the human element ie..body language, tone of voice or eye contact to guide your intuitions and thus makes it easier for the scammed to detach and more effective than even a live in your face person.
RULE #1 always! NEVER trust anyone!
